Blowout by Benefit Gilt City party!

A few months ago, I moved to Los Angeles from the Midwest (Chicago via Ann Arbor via St. Louis) so one of the many things I miss are my old haunts. Stores I would frequent, services I would regularly receive etc. So when I saw that Gilt City Los Angeles was pairing with Benefit Cosmetics to host a party celebrating their new Blowout by Benefit expansion I couldn’t help myself!

First of all, I don’t think there are any other Blowout by Benefit locations, prove me wrong if you know of others but this was exciting since the blowout trend seems to be growing and I am happy to have such a great company take part….I will have to get back to you on how great their blowouts compare to my current standing favorite: Drybar!

This was such a fun event with drinks and delectables that included: Macarons by Napoleon’s Macarons (these were pretty great!),  water by POPWater, rose by Chandon, doughnuts by Sticky Finger Doughnuts, and flowers by Bloom2Bloom.

The event was quite packed and relatively congested but everyone needed to get in their mini makeupper and brow maintenance or what was the point of going?

The night ended with a pretty great swag bag! Each bag contained: mini BadGal Lash and Benetint, Certificate for a blowout at the new Blowout bar, certificate for a brow arch at Benefit Cosmetics, Napoleon’s Macarons loyalty card and selection of three macarons (I already ate these before taking the picture!), a thong and $15 credit from MeUndies, Bloom2Bloom discount card, and mini bag of cotton candy from BonPuf. Mixed into this swag from the picture is my personal haul from the evening: SunBeam, Dr. FeelGood, and InstantBrow brow pencil.

I am excited to try MeUndies because I am a Hanky Panky addict and hear these are pretty good competitors so we will see if they are up to par. Also, the BonPuf is a sparkly pink, I love it and want to think of events to actually use their service where they come and spin cotton candy for you!! I will also be ordering a Bloom2Bloom bouquet the next time I need to send flowers because that is such a wonderful idea and mission!!

What do you think?
